Online Biblical Counseling
Online counseling is not a lesser version of meeting with a counselor. For many people, it makes consistent support possible when work, parenting, transportation, travel, or geography would otherwise get in the way. The conversation remains personal and intentional while removing one more barrier to showing up.
Our work is rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus. That does not mean pretending life is simple or putting a spiritual phrase over something that needs to be understood. It means bringing the whole of your life into a relationship where truth, grace, responsibility, grief, hope, and transformation can all have a place.
- A private and reliable place to meet
- A phone, tablet, or computer
- A stable internet connection
- A time when you can speak without interruption
What counseling can look like
Counseling is a conversation, but it is not aimless conversation. We pay attention to the patterns that keep repeating, the assumptions beneath your reactions, the experiences that shaped you, and the places where you may have learned to survive without feeling safe.
Some sessions are practical. Some are deeply emotional. Some help you put words to something you have felt for years. The pace is shaped by the person in front of us, not a formula.
You do not have to arrive with a polished explanation.
It is enough to know that something is not working, something hurts, or you are tired of carrying the same thing by yourself. We can begin there.
Getting started
Tell us a little about what you are looking for. We will help you understand the next step and whether in-person or online counseling makes the most sense.
Choosing an online appointment that fits the circumstances
Online counseling can make it easier to arrange a focused conversation when travel, family responsibilities, or scheduling make office visits difficult. It still requires time set aside for the session and a setting where the person can speak comfortably. A reliable connection and a suitable private space are practical considerations.
When making an inquiry, include the location where sessions would take place, the concern being brought, and any counselor preference. Availability and suitability should be confirmed before booking. Andrew and Teresa offer their JoyCare services online; the profiles below describe the focus of each counselor’s work.
The conversation can cover the same questions that matter when choosing in-person support: relevant experience, approach, goals, and expectations. Our FAQ and guide to getting started provide a useful starting point.
