Grief, Loss, and Life Transitions

Christian grief counseling support for loss, major life transitions, sorrow, and the long work of finding footing again.

Grief does not move in a straight line.

Loss can change the shape of an ordinary day. Grief may follow a death, a diagnosis, a move, a relationship change, an unrealized hope, a change in work, or the end of a season that mattered deeply.

Some days may feel manageable. Other days can bring the loss back with surprising force. Neither means you are doing grief wrong.

Faith makes room for sorrow and hope.

Christian hope is not a command to bypass sadness. The Bible includes lament, tears, waiting, and honest questions. It also offers the assurance that pain is not invisible to God and that love can remain meaningful even when life has changed.

Major transitions can carry their own kind of loss.

Becoming a parent, sending a child away, moving, changing careers, receiving a diagnosis, or entering a new stage of life can bring both gratitude and grief. Counseling can help make room for the parts of a transition that are harder to say aloud.

You do not have to grieve alone.

Grief counseling can be a place to remember, speak freely, understand what you are carrying, and take the next day at a pace that honors the reality of the loss.

You do not have to carry this alone.

A counseling conversation can make room to understand what is happening and consider a meaningful next step.
